Is there services (wiring or plumbing) in the wall that need moving? Need to relocate light switches?

What is happening to the existing door? Plastering needed? stud work? painting?

It really depends on the job, a carpenter should be able to do the basic work in 1/2 - 1 day, but it will all depend on what else needs to be done besides.

There is a sink on the other side of the wall but I would hope to be able to fit the door in beside the sink without moving it. There seems to be enough space. I would like the other door taken out and then I guess a stud put in its place? Replaster and paint then.

Yea so there's a bit in, also possibly needing multiple trades if sink has to move or be changed for a different shape, plastering, painting. 500-600 + VAT would probably cover it.

You might get a good handy man who can do the whole lot a bit cheaper.
