Not sure if this the right forum apologies if it isn't.
I'm out of Ireland so difficult to get in touch with companies who make headstones. I've tried by email but no response, I'll be home during the summer and hopefully get it all done then but I was hoping for a rough guide as to cost. It's for county Clare.

we got one recently in Dublin. Total excluding the graveyard costs (which is ridiculous IMO) was €3000. Not sure if it would be cheaper down the country.

Try a few places if you can, quotes we got were sometimes €500-1000 in the difference

Would you contact the Undertaker that handled the funeral. Some of them put up headstones, or at a minimum they
work hand in hand with people who put them up.

I would recommend avoiding undertakers who do headstones. Almost all of them are just middle men in that situation and you end up over paying. A friend ended up paying over the odds for a relatively standard headstone. It still annoys her to this day!!
