How to get maintenance from father in uk

    Any advice appreciated!

Me and my child (now 12 years) have lived in Ireland for 6 years. His father and I were never married. We agreed maintenance between ourselves, so no court order. Recently he has stopped maintenance sporadically, so I don't know which month I am paid or not. I used to pay all their access flights and travel too but not anymore.

It may be best now to go to the court to get a maintenance order, but how do I do this if he lives in the UK and I live in Ireland?

Speak to a solicitor but I belive you will have to make an application for this in the UK as irish family courts have no jurisdiction in the UK but I may be wrong

Contact a solicitor for legal advice

Ask a family law solicitor about the possibility of getting a maintenance order in Ireland, then applying for a mirror order in the UK and having it enforced over there.

    Also see here.
