    Hi,

I currently have a satellite dish installed pointing at 28.2. It has two cables entering the house from its LNB. These two cables are fed to the living room and into a Sky digital box.

What I would like to do is install a Saorview aerial. Then send the signals from Saorview and Satellite to three separate rooms in my house. The living room would definitely need twin satellite feeds and Saorview, but I could live with just one satellite feed and Saorview to the other rooms if getting two was difficult or expensive.

Is what I am after possible ? What kit do I need ?

    Many thanks for help

you can share the Saorview signal but each tuner will need it's own cable to the LNB because there are 4 different "bands" it could be on.

Quad LNB and two cables for main box and one for each of the other rooms .

Or an Octo LNB if you want dual cables per room.

You can combine and TV and one satellite feed on one cable, and use a splitter to separate them later on'

The Big question is how difficult is it for you to cable up the rooms as that's perhaps the limiting factor.

Thanks for the reply. Ive been doing a bit of research online. It seems I can use stackers but they can cause signal loss so its a bit trial and error. I think I'll just go with a quad LNB on the dish with 4 cables entering the house for satellite. " to the main room and one each to other rooms. I can then get a passive splitter for the Saorview signal. I can split this into three signals and run one alongside the satellite cables to each room.

It all seems like so much hassle to watch free TV. Dam saorview for not putting their channels on 28.3. It would have made life so much easier. I just dread the thought of having to run so many cables all over the place.

If your aerial is near the dish it may be easier to use a quad LNB that combines the terrestrial signal onto the sat signal. You then just use a splitter to separate it out again in each room. That would save on the cabling.

All the Irish channels are there. You just have to subscribe to Sky to watch them.

Wow, very cool, much appreciated for that

Be sure to order the one which has the 40mm collar for your Sky dish included thought. More than likely your current sky dish has a 38mm collar.
