I am being offered a job there but have never been closer than Jeddah. I survived in Riyadh and (almost) enjoyed Khobar. Also, I worked a bit around Taif and made a few trips to site at Jizan What is Yanbu like in Saudi terms?:)

A village.... but they have great plans for the port and the KACST isn't that far away so you might find some social life, its either that or drive to Jeddah for the weekends for a beer.

I actually happen to be in Yenbo for the day, small desert town with great plans for expansion but little sign of it happening. Not sure if i could survive here with only annual vacation.
