    Hi All,
My partners father is going to retire and wants to sign over his herd number to my partner. Does anyone know what form he needs for this? His father has asked me to see can it be got online but I'm not sure what its called? Could it be the transfer of entitlements?

    Thanks a mill,
    Dotty

Do ye have a agricultural advisor? Is. Teagasc or independent one?
If so get onto them they deal with and there will be no mistakes.
If not go find one. We did it last year he charged 300 for transfer of herd number, transfer of entitlements and bps+anc applications.

Went through all this last year. Transfer of the herd number is pretty straight forward. Form to be completed by both parties and returned to department. Ye may be asked to drop into local office.
But Jim is spot on best to get ag advisor on board. While the transfer of the entitlements is essentially more form filling it's the peace of mind knowing everything is filled up properly.
From my experience last year try get the herd number sorted asap and then sort the entitlements. We did everything at the same time just in the run up to the closing date for bps so it was a bit head wrecking.

Did ye get a department inspection when ye transferred the herd number chops?

The most important form ye need to complete is an ER1 form.

Once this is completed, this will have to be forwarded to your local RVO/DVO. An Agricultural Officer from the Department will then contact ye
