Hi there, I have been off sick from work and in receipt of illness benefit. I work in the public sector. I am intending on staying off work for six months and applying for partial incapacity benefit. Are there any disadvantages of going down this road. Thank you . Bernadette

Are you intending to return to work part time during the 6 months off sick.

I don't intend to go back to work until after the 6 months are up and I have made partial capacity benefit application.

Your biggest hurdle may be the waiting time for a decision on your application for PCB.
