Suspended Timber Floor Insulation

I've a question in regards insulating under a suspended timber floor. I was to add 100mm rigid insulation between the joists but due to a tongue and groove floor I'm wondering are there other alternatives?

I tried removing the timber floor but due to the tongue and groove, glue in some spots and nails, I'm doing serious damage to the existing floor. Everyone is either cracking or breaking. I don't want to continue as it'll cost a nice penny to re-floor.

Are there any other alternatives other than lifting the floors? Is the reflective foil an option? Is it worth while?
