PDC darts is over and Van Gerwen won, has anyone done the maths on putting money in each match from the first round to the final as opposed to betting on him before the competition started.

Possibly higher than the outright price at the start which was 8/11 in most places but wouldn't have been far away.
He was 1/50 for a few of the early rounds and all the way to the final where he was a 2/7 shot.
Have a guess at a price today for VG to break Phil Taylors record of World Championships.
    .............10/1 which must be madness.
You won't get paid for at least 15 years and that's assuming he wins every one for the next 15 years, if he doesn't add another year every time.
The value of the bet will be lost with interest and inflation!

Thinking about it more, if the person you back stumbles in a round or two the price may go up and you get a better return, likewise if he's throwing 110 it will go down.

Worked out at slightly over 4/7 (at PP prices.)

    1/1000 * 1/100* 1/50 * 1/25 * 1/7 * 2/7 = 1.5798

Is there somewhere to get historical prices like that?

Thousand to one on is some bet :pac:
