As per the title, anyone know where I can get one of these in the Dublin area. Have tried a few builders providers - Chadwicks & Brooks but all they have is the generic p-trap for a sink with one end threaded and the other compression fitted.
Looking for something like in the picture below:

Even a U bend in 1 1/2" would be good but they don't seem to exist here either.

    3 90 degree bends?

Thanks, yes had thought of that but any of the 90 degree bends I've seen would have yielded a flat section of at least a couple of inches at the bottom of the U section likely resulting in sediment build up.

Anywhere that has a good selection of PVC couplings . Also is it possible to buy PVC pipe by the foot, only want 1' of 2" pipe and 3' of 1 1/2" pipe preferably in black so ideally trying to avoid having to buy two full lengths and dumping most of it.

Use 45's if you have the space.
Black pipe is hard to come by these days. I've never seen a solvent trap

Thanks, will have to measure if 45's are a possibility but unnecessarily messy and all the additional joins lead to further leak risks.

Any particular reason why black pipe is so hard to come by? It's what in my existing house with black waste pipes connected to black sewer pipes externally so ideally want to match that. Don't understand why the selection of pvc piping and couplings is so limited here. US based stores seem to have an ample supply of white, grey and black piping and fittings but ridiculous if one has to import such simple items.

I'm failing to spot any logic in a solvent welded trap of any kind particularly one that doesn't result in sediment build up.

I know one point of a trap is to hold water in it to prevent smells coming up the drain but at the same time its going to pick up sediment so the norm is for a sediment trap with screw fittings on it so you can dissemble it and remove the sediment or am I missing something?
