Post Office Joint Account

This may be of interest to anyone with a joint account at the post office.

I went into one today to open a joint account for myself and my wife, thinking that in case of illness of any other problem, either of us would be able to go into the post office and take out money or whatever.

I was told by the post master that if taking out money we would both have the come into the office and sign.

What's the point in having a joint account if we both have to come in and sign??

Thinking of closing both our accounts in the post office and using the credit union.
