Bettystown proposed road to CNI

Hi Folks, Any word on the proposed road from the roundabout at tescos in Bettystown to colaiste na hinse?
Would be so handy for the kids getting to school and would alleviate traffic on the R150. At this rate my kids will be finished secondary school by the time it's started :rolleyes:

Perhaps the kids could (should) walk or cycle to school if they're older than 7 or 8?

But this scheme isn't high on any agenda I've encountered, Slane seems to be in pole position for the next road scheme to commence

Quietly came into contention for almost immediate funding!

I'd hope something would be done about Slane asap (and the generally woeful N51 and N52 also) for safety reasons alone.

The existing road is far too dangerous for the kids to cycle and it's too far for ours to walk. When the new road goes in they will be able to cycle hopefully

Apologies for resurrecting an old(ish) thread but looks like something might be happening. Saw a lad doing a land survey from the roundabout at tescos sighting down the road towards CNI.
