bit confused on this one for a neighbour

can he cut silage on it...i asssume he can as long as that's how it's normally farmed

this is what in the spec

    what would ye think?

    anyone else in this action?

A Sustainable Management Plan must be completed in collaboration with the GLAS
advisor for each site code which contains private Natura LPIS parcels on your holding. It
    must address the following;
    a. Specify how the parcel is normally farmed and managed i.e. grazing only, tillage
    etc.
    b. Where the parcel is normally grazed, specify the livestock type and number of
months grazing takes place on the parcel(s).
    c. Detail a general site description and specify the dominant habitat type.
    d. Set stocking levels that avoid eutrophication, overgrazing, undergrazing and
    erosion.
    2.
Supplementary feeding of meal is only permitted on areas where it is currently practiced
and appropriate and where the GLAS advisor is of the view that supplementary feeding of
meal will not impact on the Natura site. Where it is practiced, the meal troughs should be
    moved frequently to avoid poaching.
    3. Invasive and noxious weeds – see Appendix 14 must be controlled. Pesticides are
    permitted for spot treatment application.

If he has it in GLAS already he should have hot management plan back with his acceptance into GLAS. If he applied before Christmas he should have an idea from his planner and the plan that the GLAS planner gave him.

I think a lot would depend on the site.

I have SAC and cut silage off it and graze cattle. As far as I know you cannot make a major change in the way you were farming it but just continue as previous.
