Using bath tap for shower

    Hi there,

I have an electric shower but for whatever the reason not much water comes out. For this reason I decided to start using the bath tap. So I'm trying to connect the shower to the bath tap.

I was trying to figure out how the tap works. It has an opening for the shower (image1). But after pulling from the iron thing thinking it would make water go through the shower, turns out, there's no system to change between the tap and the shower (images 2 and 3).

Can someone help me find out how it works? as you can see in the images I removed the cap but at this point I prefer not to touch anything just in case.

    Thanks for any help!

Where is the cold water tank?
if you are in an apartment and the cold water is above the hot water cylinder you won't have enough gravity pressure for the shower to work without a pump.
Have you tried leaving the shower head in the bath and see if it works then

Don't wanna be unhelpful, but if you're renting don't go messing with stuff like this.
    Your images aren't working.

You are missing a hose and a shower head which would screw onto the threaded middle rear opening. Something like http://tinyurl.com/j3opnlk
The part you removed would usually pull up to switch the flow into the hose or push down to switch it back to fill the bath!

You need a hose and shower head. That centre part will only activate while there is water flowing through the taps.
Put hose on. Turn on taps. Pull knob. It should switch flow to shower hose.

Thanks everyone! I do have a shower hose and head but I'm using an electric shower. Apart from that there's the tap which I'd like to start using.

That middle part won't come up. That was my guessing especially since there's an opening for this purpose. But I guess it's not how it works.

The only option I see now is to use an adaptor and screw the shower hose into the main tap.

    Any other ideas are welcome.

    Thank you!

Will it go down by any chance? :D

Thanks for the suggestion SixSixSix but I'm renting so don´t want to do anything I can't undo. I'll just buy and adaptor and plug the shower into the main faucet and problem solved! Thanks anyway for the ideas!
