    I bought a jvc smart to last week hoping to download new apps like rte player, 3 player etc but can't find an App Store on the tv ?

    Check the region is set to Ireland. If it is, then the apps may not be available for that TV - probably only available on the main brands like Samsung, LG and Sony.

    Smart TV's have limited apps, your best off either getting a Chromaecast or cheap Android box to connect to it.
