Opposite to the "are you going out tonight" thread. So what you gonna watch? Just a few highlights:

    The Graham Norton show - BBC1 10:25pm to 11:25pm.

    The Producers (2005) - RTE1 12:15am.

And of course the classic Airplane 2: The Sequel on RTE2 at 03:15am (very late huh?)

    Care to add?

Kodi with a decent addon, and there's literally anything you want on the telly tonight.

Since the local dodgy box seller is currently closed, I'd like some recommendations for Saorview, Freesat and Netflix. The Mrs and one of the kids are sick, so I need to look after my own entertainment.

Or maybe I'll be bored enough to try getting kodi to run on my ps3.

Netflix = better call Saul, or Narcos.

Graham Norton on BBC1 followed by the annual fireworks display live from London, and/or Jools Holland's Hootenanny on BBC2. We usually flick between the two so we don't miss anything :))

A new years tradition for many. Starts at 11:20pm to 1:45am.

Is it me or did it start earlier in previous years? Always remember it starting around 10pm.

Yep. Been watchin a fair few years now and always thought it was on for more than 40 mins before the bells rang.

Or maybe I just had too many slushies!

I'll assume this is a TV themed version of saying "yore ma".

Only copped this a couple of years ago when they had Imelda May on while at the same time she was doing the College Green thing in Dublin. Ruined it for me.

BBC1 Graham Norton & guests + Fireworks = should be good fun & very entertaining :))
BBC2 Jools Holland & musical guests celebrate N.Y.Eve with the annual Hootenanny :))
RTE1 NYE 1916 Centenary Live; With Bryan Dobson & Claire Byrne (are they serious) :(
RTE2 The Bourne legacy (Acton Movie) /This is Ireland with Des Bishop/Comedy chat :))

I think RTE have got the mood wrong again.

BBC could also have had a "Battle of the Somme special", looking back at all the death, destruction and upheaval in the summer of 1916, but is this really the night to do it??? surely this should be a night of frivolity, fun, stupidiity, levity, singing, fireworks and laughter, not retrospectively going back over the death, destruction and sloughter of 1916 "AGAIN".

Continuing my festive West Wing binge. Just got to the "In this house when the President is standing..." bit. My favourite tv line ever.

Will switch over to RTE or Sky News for fireworks at midnight in Dublin, Paris and London.

Robbie williams attempting comedy routines in between songs on BBC1, cringeworthy.

Just watching Jools and Chaka Khan is on. God, I feel young compared to these Jurassic era musicians. None of us are getting any younger!:(

When rebels rockers of the 60s and 70s are in their 70s you know you're living in the future.

Spent the night with my family and girlfriend... Just dropped her home so now some TV time while I have a few more beers.

    Hmm. I wonder what's on.

Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Imelda May on Jools!

She looked nothing like she used to do, really beautiful, and she sang well too.
