Hi, I'm looking to replace the rope seal on my stove. To make it easier I am trying to remove the door but cannot figure out how to do it. Its a Heat Design TR5. I can see a pin in the top hinge but there doesn't seem to be any way to remove it. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe I'm totally wrong here but maybe the pin is fixed to the actual door section and you lift the whole door upwards, taking the pin with it ?
    Worth a go anyway .

Thanks spoofer, there are two 'lugs' which the door hinges on, I can lift the door very slightly but then it hits the top lug, so I'm a bit baffled, the pin is moving up with the door and sticking slightly above the lug but I cannot pull it out. Don't know why they make this so difficult

What if you open the door fully then try and lift ?

Maybe the rope can be taken out with the door in situ. On my own stove ( Stanley ) there's basically 4 bolts with clips on the inside you turn then take out rope.

Looks like I'll have to do it with the door on, it's just would be easier with it Lying flat, I'll try post photo

The door should be open and lift upwards to remove the door.

Thanks for this, but still no joy, it only lifts a few millimetres and hits the top lug, it is still sitting on the bottom pin, so I cant see how it can lift off. Does the instruction below mean the pin has to be removed.

It is sometimes useful to remove the door at this stage by opening and lifting up to slide the hinge pins out.

It hard to tell ,but the top lug/pin and bottom one should either just lift out with the door or be removed to the the door hinge slide out,
On my Boru one its lift the door swinging it ever so slightly and it lifts off.
There are some images on Google image of different types .

OK thanks. The only way to get this door off is to remove the pins and there is no easy way to remove them, seems like a stupid setup. Anyway I've replace the rope with the door on.
