Programming HDMI Modulators

Does anyone know how to get two of these modulators working simultaneously?
    http://www.freetv.ie/hdmi-modulator/

They are both connected correctly to the distribution system.
They are on different DVB channels with different IDs.
Tuning in one on any TV, overrides the other (and visa-versa).

I reckon it has something to do with the network settings/ID.
Any manuals I found online only cover the basic settings.

Do you have the cascaded? ....... the output of one fed to the input of the second?

    Details of setting changes needed

Did you view the video I linked to?

Did it sort it for you?

That video definitely provides the solution. Much appreciated Johnboy!
    I haven't implemented it yet.

I searched the freetv website for the featured configuration file without success.
    Do you have a link?

    No.
The config file is specific to each device in every set up.

Can you get the default one from the device?

I only need to configure a second modulator.
Besides the DVB Channel No. & TV-1 what do I need to change?

All of the lines highlighted in yellow in the video, as far as I can ascertain.

It was quite easy in the end. Thanks for your help Johnboy.
For anyone else who needs the information ......

    > I downloaded the configuration file from a defaulted modulator to a USB stick.
    > It was one very long string, so I added appropriate returns in notepad.
    > I saved this to my PC as my default configuration file ( jedi_config.txt )
    > I made the necessary changes to the file as described in the video.
(For the last four settings, I just incremented by 4).

I saved the altered file to the memory stick and updated the modulator file as described in the video.
NOTE: I didn't remove the returns I had added.

    My altered file is attached.

    Excellent result! :D

One question ...... is it obvious how to download the default file from the device?
    What is required?

It's easy to find and is not a nested menu option.
For quick access in the menu of options, press the left arrow twice for the "Save To USB" option.

I used an empty flash drive, but I don't know if that's a requirement.

Thanks for the further info ;)

    What sources are you using?
    Are they easily managed?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,022 ✭✭✭eirman

One source is Sky+ HD Box. (UK Sub)

The other source is a HDMI 5 way switcher that bypasses HDCP
The HDMI Switch is connected to 4 sources ...
1 > A second SkyHD box used solely for EIR/BTsport (no Sky Sub on this box)
    2 > A HD Media Player
    3 > An Android Box
    4 > A Walker Saorview PVR
    5 > Spare

    It all works very well.
I can even pause and record the android box or Eir/BT on the Walker (HD Quality)
