Leather Skirt for My Wife

    Hello Fashionistas :)

I'm hoping for a bit of help.

My wife has been after a leather skirt for some time and she is very particular and fussy, i wanted to surprise her for christmas with a skirt. Long story short they're incredibly hard to get hold of but I've found some options below.

The goal for her was to be able to wear it in the office but yet be stylish enough that it would work for evening wear too.

The initial goal was to find something exactly like this..

I've not been able to find anything like it unfortunately and my two options at the moment are:

    This one

    from Whistles

Or this one from the White Company

I'm still not sure it's 100% what she wants as the Whistles one looks a little too shiny, too patent leathery, and perhaps a little ugly? And the White Company may be too 'mumsy' and not as sleek as the first option.

I also saw this one as modelled by Alexa Chung but it seems to be totally sold out.

    What do you all think?

Do you know of any brands or where i might find one similar to the first or last option?

Your help would be much appreciated :)

The Whistles one isn't office appropriate, imo. Mind you, neither is the original, it's a touch too short.

The White Company one is nice but could be more fitted.

I have one upstairs that I got as a gift from my sister and I wear it to work as well as out and about. I'll check the label when I go up.

My work one is knee length (almost) and I bought it in Warehouse,my shorter ones are from Zara but maybe you're looking for 100% leather?

    Thanks guys, much appreciated.

She works in a pretty laid back agency in the fashionable area of London so she wears mini's often paired with tights etc to tone down a little.

She's looking for 100% leather / lambskin, v. soft leather.

Let me know the label, will check warehouse - thanks again :)

Thanks for all your help everyone..

I managed to pick up something I think she'll love..

It's a Maje Black Leather Skirt... hopefully office and evening appropriate, and she'll like it :)

    Where did you get it?

Nice. Quite risky buying someone else clothes though, so I hope you've done that before and it was cool with her. I would be weirded out if my husband picked out my clothes. I pick out my own clothes, and he picks out his.

I have two leather skirts (brown and dark green) for a few years now, and they are the best things in my wardrobe by a mile, love them, very versatile.

    Well wear to her. :)

I searched high and low for it and found it on Tradesy.com, shipped via MyUS.. looks like quite a few bargains to be had there!

Glad to hear it, in fairness she was looking for something classy to wear back to work and apparently it's the most versatile item of clothing a girl can wear so hopefully can't go too far wrong - will let you know if so - I'll be back on here selling it!
She gets me clothes all the time for birthdays / christmas, i'd like to think we have a good sense of each other's style..

Its just something people say when someone gets something new. Hear it a lot when someone gets a new car for instance or new clothes. Basically just wishing you good luck with your new purchase. The skirt you ordered for you wife is lovely by the way am sure she will love it.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.
