Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just looking for a bit of advice please.

My son is almost 12, very tall for his age, he's approx 5ft 4 and very slim build.

I have absolutely no idea where to get really nice clothes for him, casual stuff is fine, penneys and dunnes fit that bill.
BUT it's his confirmation year and I'd love to pick him up something a bit more smarter.
I'm in the UK next week so will be having a look round there, but I have no idea what stores I should be looking in?

Hopefully someone could give me some advice!

    You could try H&M.
We had a friend's wedding last year and we got a pair of chinos and a shirt in H&M for the youngster. He's like your lad, tall, slim. I think their sizing goes up to age 14 and the trousers have elastic adjusters inside the waistband which are great.

Have to start confirmation outfit shopping here too for himself, but he's around 5ft8 so this will be fun!

Yeah I think he's about that, haven't measured him in ages! There's another lad in his class a fraction taller and another not far behind them.

    Try Top Man.
I don't think 5ft 4 is abnormally tall for a boy that age so it should not be too hard.
Are you looking for a suit or nice shirt and slacks?
Jack and Jones do nice casual stuff too.

Thanks, I think it's just the retailers that don't cater very well for that age / size bracket. Finding it very tough to find long legs that don't swing round his waist!
Managed to pick up a jacket and smart t-shirt in Debenhams in the UK, much better value here. Still had to buy aged 14 suit jacket for him!
Now just on a mission to get smart jeans / Chinos and shoes for him !

The price difference between Debenhams UK and .ie is crazy.
I feel tiny among some of the 5th and 6th class students in my kids school.
