Platform intercom.

    There is an intercom system embedded in poles on platforms. I see one button within a blue shaded area and one within a green/yellow shaded area.

    What are these for and what is the difference. There was no label on them to say what they were for.

    I only came to wonder about them recently as I had to hump a bicycle across the bridge at Booterstown as one lift was out of order and there was nobody on duty. I wanted to report the lift as being out of order to save people with buggies and wheelchairs freezing themselves until the next train once they had discovered that the lift was OOO. !

    They are emergency intercom alert points. They should have stickers on them but they are prone to the odd incident of vandalism and yeah, the odd time their labels are removed.
