Navara down on power

My work ute (2011 Navara 2.5 diesel auto with 96000km) has been sluggish the past few weeks but the drive to and from work is relatively flat. Took a spin up the mountains today and it it wasn't kicking down and would struggle to do 50-60kmh up hills. The dpf light came on for a short while and I drove above 80kmh to clean it out. It's stoll down on power and not getting any boost until it's around 2700rpm. It's like the turbo isn't working most of the time. I cant see any obvious perished or leaking hoses.

Anybody any experience with this issue?

get it scanned on a diagnostic machine to see what fault codes are showing up.

Sounds like it's gone into limp mode to protect the engine from damage. As said there is probably a fault code logged on the car's ECU that you will need scanned by someone with diagnostic software to give you an idea of what's wrong.

If the DPF light came then it might need a forced regeneration done to clear it. If you do a lot of start/stop short trips then it's very possible your DPF could be blocked. It could also be a sensor but a scan of the fault code will point you in the right direction.

It's not going into limp mode though. The revs are fine. It's almost as if it doesn't know when to kick down through the gearbox and just not producing power. Once its over 60-70kmh it seems to have more power and the turbo kicks in a bit more. Still not 100% though.

I'll just wait until the new year and let work sort it out. Hopefully they'll scrap it like the other Navaras they've had that have cost too much/broken down too much/snapped chassis problems and I'll get something newer.
