Secondary ovarian cancer in bowels, curable?

Hi sorry if there is already a thread about this but I couldn't find one. ðŸ˜

A close family member has been diagnosed with secondary ovarian cancer in the bowels.

She doesn't say much about if it is curable or not and anything I've ever read or come across say it is not?

I'm wondering am I reading the wrong information or not? Is there anyway possible it can be cured or will it be a cause of symptom management and bouts of chemo?

Thank you in advance for any answers.
