    Good day

    we live in Kilminchy in Portlaoise and want to know where we can get more information about our local water supply. The water we drink makes us feel slightly ill (heartburn) and we would like to get as much information as possible about it.

    thank you

    Hi armabelle,

    Thank you for your query.

    If you would like to get your water tested, you can find a list of accredited testing facilities at www.inab.ie/Directory-of-Accredited-Bodies/Laboratory-Accreditation/Testing/.

    Alternatively, if your water supply from your cold kitchen tap is affected by low pressure, discolouration or malodours, we can look into this for you, if you send us the following details via PM:

    - Name;
    - Address; and
    - Contact number.

    Thanks,
    Alex

    Thanks Alex

    We have no discoloration but the water supply is definitely toxic as it makes us ill. To whom can we send our details so that someone can look into this for us?

    thank you again

    Would you mind sending us a PM with the below details?

    Hi Amy

    I still have not heard from anyone regarding our water contamination. Shall I continue to be patient?

    I did an experiment at home by boiling some water (2 cups) and look at what is left over. Some people on the chemistry forum think this is rather odd. Look forward to hearing your reply

    regards
