    I have just received log book for car I bought, can I buy tax online or do I have to go to the tax office?

    iirc first one is at the Tax Office or by post.

    Thanks but just doing it here and I can do it online seemingly I can do it but I have to have insurance first

    Put in any random number, insurance company and expiry date, they can't cross reference .

    I used to check my insurance details at first but since they aren't using the information for anything I just use random numbers and letters, even when I had to go to tax office they rarely looked at the insurance certificate.
