Stay far away from Beats. They're so expensive and unless you're a sound engineer (and even so, you could get better at a lower price), you're probably not going to need the sound quality that they output. I'm a musician, so I would notice these things but don't.

I used Skullcandy for ages. They're quite cheap (forty quid) and the wireless offers great wireless range as well as excellent audio output. The controls are very rudimentary (on/volume) but they're adequate enough on a budget.

If you're looking to go high-end, I can recommend Sony's new wireless cans. I think they retail at around 150. I got them free with my phone upgrade recently and I'm totally blown away by them. The audio is unbelievable and they're totally soundproof. They come with a wire in case the battery runs out and they have a really sleek design with plenty controls. The only downside is that keeping them on your neck when you're not using them is annoying in winter if you've a scarf on or something, they can be kind of bulky.

I'd 100% steer clear of Beats though. Seriously, they're such a rip.

Have a read through these articles.

I'd personally suggest a cheap-o wireless in-ear set for the gym, and then better over-ear for home (wired or wireless).

Skullcandy Smokin' Buds 2 for in-ear or Skullcandy Grind Wireless for on-ear.

Ive just ordered the Anker ie20 ones from Amazon,as per the review listed by kiki
I'll give a review when I get them.
I bought a set of bluetooth headphones 3 years ago and they were crap, so I have stayed away from them till now.
I spent e80 on my wired ones and they are 6 years old and still going after all kinds of weather on the bike and also being used while I was renovating 2 houses, so lots of pulling on the chord, that was the big problem I had with cheaper ones, so hopefully, even if I get a year out of these, they'll be worth the money…..
