Not too sure about pedigree breeding but we use a Charllaois ram on our ewes and the lambs are usually hardly as long as you don't get too bad a weather! Although as said on the other tread might be hard to compete against other breeders who are well established!

Texels ain't easy lambing.friend of mine has pedigree flock of 20 ewes and had to handle 85 percent whilst lambing.i have small flock hampshire downs.lambing at the moment and not had to go near a ewe.think if your thinking of doing pedigree go down a up and coming breed like rouge or smth.suffolk Texels charrolais are alive with breeders.hard to break into that circle.interested to hear on tips re puppy training.need to get a dog and am considering a pup.
