Mole mapping

After finding a funny looking spot a few weeks ago that I was worried over, my new year's resolution is to look after my skin more.

Wear SPF, cover up in the sun and because I have a tonne of moles, and some of them atypical. I think it might be a good idea to have an extra pair of eyes and pictures recorded.

Does anyone know where I can get this done?

The hospital in Cork seems to do it but would my GP send me without any change. The whole point is it catches any changes. I'm not quite sure on the wait.

After this, I don't know where else. There seems to be a special clinic in Dublin especially for scanning moles. The molesscan clinic in Dublin, has anyone been there before. This sounds good. Except I was reading their process, and if they find a suspicious looking mole you are given another appointment for removal. However, they send you to the private clinic, I forget the name but it can cost 500 for removal.

Having atypical moles, I'm worried that I might need more than one removed. I don't have this kind of money.

Or should I stop worrying about money and what if's, get the mole mapping done and worry after once I get there. Surely they can't let me out the door if they find something that might need removing and they might send me to a public hospital.

I know some gps can check moles. However, I think I might be taking the piss by getting them to do a full body scan. I'm sure they only have the time to check one or two suspicious ones. The molesscan clinic above seems to take an hour to check moles and I'm not reading mole mapping on gp's website as a service. So does this mean that they will only check one that you might be worried over.

Where can I get something like this done?
