I'm interested in one of these and also a  decent Blu Ray DVD player. Any good deal for a Boardsie that bought a lot of Marantz sound equipment from you a long time ago? Is the sound on the TV good or would you recommend a soundbar? I actually have an old Samsung 2.1 system where the DVD doesn't work but the amp and speakers are fine.

    Thanks for the help.

    Cheers

    PaddyOisin,

The UE55KS8000 is a really nice TV and its especially slim - it does sound okay and better than most of its peers but the slim bit means that the audio quality won't match what you have been used to from your Marantz kit - you could use your old Sammy 2.1 system and I'm pretty sure it will sound better but you will need to check if it has an optical input?

If it doesn't and you wanted to keep things simple and not get a new 5.1 system we would recommend a decent soundbar - either the Q Acoustics Media 4 which is exceptional and is now reduced to just £249:

or the brand new Monitor Audio Airstream ASB10 Soundbar which is really exceptionally slick looking and sounds completely awesome - even without the optional wireless subwoofer!

Here are a few options for you:

    Samsung UE55KS8000
    Panasonic DMPUB700 - 4K Ultra HD Bluray
£1698 including delivery and a 6 year TV warranty

    Samsung UE55KS8000
    Panasonic DMPUB700 - 4K Ultra HD Bluray
    Q Acoustics Media 4 - Soundbar
£1935 including delivery and a 6 year TV warranty

    Samsung UE55KS8000
    Panasonic DMPUB700 - 4K Ultra HD Bluray
    Monitor Audio ASB104 - Soundbar
£1998 including delivery and a 6 year TV warranty

Thanks again and keep me posted if we can assist in any way,

    ATVB,
