Wood Pellet Stove vs Oil Range

Hi there just wondering could anyone give any experience/advice when it comes to Wood Pellet Stoves. We are looking into the idea of getting a wood pellet stove in to replace our converted Rayburn oil burning range. The wood pellet would just be used to heat one room as oil would be used via an outside boiler to heat the remainder of the house radiators.

    My main queries are:
Reliability of Wood Pellet Stove in the long term?
Service Cost and upkeep cost. Many contractors provide the service around midlands region?
Heat efficiency for a medium size room approx 58m3(6kva - 8kva wood pellet air stove would be sufficient I think)?
Ease of Sourcing wood pellets and price flucation in comparison to oil?
    Install cost?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Marie
Wood pellet stoves once installed and maintained properly are extremely reliable
Pellet stoves should be serviced every 12 months or so. Service costs roughly €100 - €120
6 -8kw more than enough for a room that size
Plenty of fuel merchants now stocking pellets and price is consistent and unlikely to fluctuate much as most pellets are irish or European manufactured so not affected by things like wars !
