Happy Christmas and Happy New Year to all!

After doing the Derry Marathon earlier this year, I found it difficult to fully focus on Dublin and it showed on the day.
Even though I ran Dublin, I struggled the whole way through and it was a very tough day.

My plan for 2017 is to get below 50 mins for a 10k for early April and to enjoy running for time again.
14 week plan. Week 1 began today

Half way through the programme and sub 50 is not that far away I hope.
Completely enjoying the pace and the prospect of knocking time off as I go along.

This kind of 5k/10k training is so more doable than the big commitment of marathon training but at the same time the more you do the more you start thinking about another marathon!

Target 10k is 7 weeks away, might find another one in a month to see where I am.

    Week 14 of 14

    Mon 2 mile (19:36)
    Sun 10k Race (51:05)

Not to be today. Knew it at half way that I was struggling and pushed until mile 5 but still behind at that stage.

Set up for 5ks & 10ks for the next few months after 14 weeks so it is only a matter of time!

You didn't miss it by much. Push on now and do another one in a few weeks time.
