Are McCarthy Motors of Ballycurren Industrial Estate, Airport Rd., Cork still in business?

If they have moved, any ideas where to?

Do they have a stock list anywhere?

I can't find any current details for them online.

Yikes! Any idea as to why Lee Garage closed... they always seemed busy to me... I even bought a car there about 15 years ago

Some info on lee garage from the son of one of the current directors of lee garage's LinkedIn (manager for enterprise vans cork)

Lee Garage was founded in 1932 by Donald Jeffery and Arthur Good, it was located on Merchants Quay, where the Merchants Quay Shopping Centre now stands.

In 1961 Lee Garage moved into a larger premises on South Terrace, on the site which was formerly Hosford’s Bakery. The present Office Block and modern Showroom that stands today was developed by Frampton Jeffery in 1994.

I would guess that there would have been many reasons to close. The 2 owners are in their 60s/70s. The entire fiat network would sell less cars in a year than one big dealership would do in a month.

... and I think Gavin Jeffery was taking over? A quick check on LinkedIn shows him to be running a rental car Franchise... was the car part just not turning a profit, but the rental car part was?

Cool... thanks for the detail you did give. I'm guessing it's the low sales of Fiats etc...
