    Hi there,

I've been looking at glassdoor for ages but I'm interested in getting some insights from fellow boardsies.

Curious if anyone is working in a company that is involved in software development in any way that's based in Dublin City Center. Personally I'm a Software Testing Manager so interested in hearing about other companies in Dublin City Center who work in software (no matter what industry Finance/Insurance/Technology etc...).

    Thanks,
    Cronos

PS Feel free to mention one's you wouldn't recommend also

Company pages on Stack Overflow give a decent insight into software development within each company.

There's quite a few. Look for the best perks. A friend of mine works for one of the big american tech companies (won't mention names but many would have similar benefits) - she get's quite a few of them. Remote working (no need to 'ask' anyone just write it in the calendar), lunches provided every other day. Flexible working hours, shares in the company, they got massages there before xmas, regular movie screenings & game nights with all the goodies etc. game rooms, a library on site and some more I can't remember. I get a bit envious sometimes!

Based on the Companies I've worked for it could be any of them. Google, Twitter, Yahoo, IBM, Facebook, Oracle etc.

Not sure Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo or Google do much software dev in Ireland. It's mostly sales and support roles from what I see. Oracle and IBM are not in the city center, but do have offices close enough, they are big enough names that I'm already aware of them. But always curious to hear peoples take on places.
