I prefer my kids to be watching some random people looking at the sky rather than the normal brainwashed advertisements they normally have?

Well the Mayans will be pleased.

Look on the bright side. At least after watching the angelus your kids won't want you to buy them a crucifix and to take them to McDonalds for a Nativity Happy Meal.

Pretty sure this has been happening for at least the last 35 years that I can remember watching tv and probably since RTE started so I'm not sure why anyone is shocked.

Some people are only happy when complaining.

You'd have to say Maya was the best one out of that family as evidenced by her appearance on the Simpsons.

Lenny:Uh yeah, I'm a techno-thriller junkie, and I'd like to know, is the B-2 bomber more detectible when it rains?
Kent Brockman: Oh, what do you think, Tom Clancy?
    Tom Clancy:Well, the B-2--
Lenny:No, no, no, I was asking Maya Angelou!
Maya Angelou: The ebony fighter awakens, dabbled with the dewy beads of morn.
    Moe:Maya Angelou is black?
Maya Angelou: It is a mach-5 child, forever bound to suckle from the shriveled breast of congress.
    Lenny:Oh, Maya, you're a national treasure!

Took me a few seconds to cop that! :)

Be thankful it wasn't the Lotto draw.

I'm sure Ibrahim, Blathnaid, and Nuala Carey, are nice people, but God help me, that fricking thing interrupts a good movie all the time.
IT's a uniter too across the divide-annoys everyone equally.

Be grateful, got a call from my Mom's cousin-in Britain there has been a postal strike for the last week and more. In that time, no Christmas Cards, no amazon deliverys (other retailers are available) and today there were disruptions to the water service.

And the Queen didn't even deliver her Christmas message.

The Angelus in the middle of a movie was nothing in comparison.

    Yes she did.

    Thanks for putting that up.

I was absolutely devastated when I realised I'd missed it earlier today.
