So the big man brought my daughter a Skywatcher telescope. Just curious is there any good child friendly apps for her tablet? We're noobs to astronomy but both have an interest.

Heavens-Above is another handy one for the ISS, does other satellites and iridium flares too.

Stellarium is an alternative to Sky Maps. Use both of them myself.

Also very good is pocket universe ... well worth the $3 or so for the full version.

Also I just see that pocket universe is iOS only ... so my android friends tell me sky map is decent for android .. lets see...
