Really down about a potential broken nose

    Hi all,
Mid-20s male, first time posting here. Yesterday I got a elbow in the nose playing football, it instantly starting bleeding and had the look of leaning slightly to the right.
Admittedly at first it looked terrible, I was certain I had broken it. Saw a doctor who said come back when the swelling has gone down in 4/5 days.
Now after having a shower, and some icing, it looks infinitely better, but it's certainly got more of a crook on one side than before.
At the risk of sounding a bit dramatic, I'm really down about this. Essentially I've struggled with Body Dysmorphia in the past, with my concern largely focused on my nose. I've had two septoplastys in the last two years (the first wasn't successful) to realign cartilage after a boxing injury when I was 14. The second was entirely successful and I can honestly say the last 3 months I've been less self-conscious about my nose than I've been in years. I'm really terrified this is going to set me back again, and make me obsessive about its size and shape again, I'm already checking the mirror constantly. Add to this I've just been dumped by my partner in pretty heart wrenching circumstances (we lived together abroad, I moved back to London as a result) and it's really not an ideal time to be feeling reclusive.
I guess I'd like to hear positive stories, advice or feedback from similar experiences. Is it possible the bridge can be pushed back to the centre by the doctor next week if it is indeed broken? Is it possible its just swelling and wont have such a crooked appearance in a week or so? (honestly the swelling looks minimal this morning though). If worst case scenario I need to go down the plastic surgery route, how long will I have to wait and is this a very straight forward procedure considering I've already had two septoplastys in the last 2.5 years (shaving down or realigning the bump)?
    Thank you, and merry Christmas!

Only a medical professional can give the answers you are seeking. You've already been to the doctor who's told you to wait until the swelling goes down.

A belt to the nose is a violent enough injury, and you need to give it some time to calm down. Don't obsess about it for now, but instead, please try to relax and enjoy Christmas. The doctor will be able to advise in a few days.
