4K TV & Surround Sound Recommendation

    Looking for some recommendations.

Moving into a new house hopefully in March, and I need to get a large TV (60/65+) and would like a surround sound system for our main living room. TV will be mainly for movies, sports, etc. Perhaps gaming in the future, but not hugely important.

I have asked in some of the main electronics retailers, but the advice from the 15 year old kids there has been less than convincing

So, would what brands/models would people recommend? Also, there seems to be a shortage of selection of surround sound systems compared to a few years ago. Is there a reason for this?

Finally - I'm thinking of buying now with the sales on, or would I be better waiting until march/april when I need it.

    Thanks.

Most people go for simple clutter-free / wife friendly soundbars these days and that's all you're likely to find in the likes of Curry's / Harvey Norman's. Soundbars are "ok" - better than the tv speakers for sure, but they are no substitute for a proper surround sound setup.

I recommend you post your question over on the Richersounds forum. I've bought all my gear off them, recently picked up a Denon receiver and it's the business.
The guys in RS will sort you out.

I recently got a Samsung 55KS7000 TV from Richer Sounds and I have to say I'm delighted with it. I'd highly recommend the TV.

In this case I'm going for a soundbar as this is not my main room and looking at the Dali Kubik One.
