Windy day here in Donegal, sounds worse than it is.
Wouldn't think it would do any damage typical windy day :)

I'm in Galway too, my greenhouse in currently in bits in my garden and my neighbours. Any idea when it's meant to calm down so I can piece it back together again?

14.00 Dont know if there is much strength in this possible squall line ? Running the sequence shows stronger rain as it moves on.

Squall line just passed over here now in wexford.

You'd barely see it on ME (looks very light).
On NW then it showed it (heavier) but has been patchy coverage.

It must be the Christmas Day gremlins.:p

Once again, Thorshavn had a direct hit, winds gusted to 93 knots (171 km/hr) at 1550z at the sea level observing site and as high as 111 knots at 850 ft two hours earlier (some of the strongest hours at the surface were lacking wind gust numbers for the higher site).

Great winter so far, can't complain. I garden a bit so I wouldn't mind some more hard frosts to kill off pathogens in the soil... Any chance of more frost is the short/medium term?
