Metallic taste of tea from tap water

Hi. I started using bottled water for the kettle lately. No particular reason but then when I went back to using tap water for tea I noticed it had a metallic taste. Tap water on its own taste ok. Just wondering would a water jug filter improve the taste or does the flouride in the water make it taste that way

Try a blind taste test, bottled water versus tap, see what you pick up.

    Also worth descaling the kettle

Cheers. Eventually got a filter jug. That seems to have improved the taste. Maybe water might be hard in my area.
