Google Play Music w/ Amazon Echo

Google Play Music is doing a 4 months free offering, considering taking this up, however just wonder how well, if at all, Google Music works with Alex?

Is it fully integrated like Spotify whereby you can simply say "Alexa, play song A by band B"

Or will it only work via Bluetooth with a phone to stream the music?

TLDR: Should I stick with Spotify or check out Google Play Music?

Google Play Music doesn't work on Amazon Echo at all.

Well you can play music on your phone and stream it to the Echo over Bluetooth and those use the Echo as a simple bluetooth speaker, but you will have little or no voice control over it.

The reason for this is Google and Amazon are direct competitors and they don't like to support each other products. Google has it's own equivalent of the Echo called Google Home and of course Google Play Music works great on it (along with Spotify) but no Amazon music service on it.

You are best to stick with Spotify. They are pretty neutral (similar to Netflix) and pretty much just work on everything.
