Spill on passenger seat floor

    Hi all,

Spilled about ~125mls of red bull on the passenger floor of my Renault Fluence - the can rolled and split against seat fixing. Liquid went down where the wire that connects the seat sensor goes and I can't get at it to clean.

Do you think that it could affect the sensor if liquid gets at the wires? Is the passenger airbag likely to be affected if the sensor develops a fault?

    Thanks,

    C

Id say it's unlikely...Red bull is mostly sugar....not sure if sugar is an insulator or not...I THINK it's an insulator...and if so it won't short out anything. I doubt the amount of liquid that would have touched the wire would have been significant...the wire is insulated in plastic anyhow.

If the airbag develops a fault, it's likely that you'll get a message on the dashboard anyhow....

    Red Bull? Serves you right!

thanks for the response, I'll keep an eye out for the sensor coming on.
