    Are they basically all the same and all do a good job, or is there anything else to be aware of apart from the visual look of them.

    A radiator valve is a radiator valve
    There are better quality ones than others
    Look at Myson or Pegler ones

    Would be worth your while fitting Thermostatic valves if you can stretch your budget a bit

    Yep you'd be mad not to install TRVs. Set them and forget them. Manual valves will always be either too hot or too cold.

    In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.
