    Hi,
I'm looking for opinions on which template people prefer and why please? Never mind the different images or the wording of the text. Lastly with theme version 2 clicking on the images would link to the image for me and not to a post.

    2. http://demo.kaliumtheme.com/agency

    Thanks,
    Pa.

What's the purpose of the site. i.e. they are terrible themes for a creche

The first one looks more pleasing to me in any case. The dynamic text feels gimmicky and I personally prefer clean white minimal backgrounds.

    Creche??

I prefer the first option... I think maybe the text in the second puts me off.

BTW Cosiness and Middle of Nowhere are stunning!

A reflection on my current state of mind :D But seriously, it's hard to give decent advice without knowing the purpose of the site. Is it a personal site? Commercial? Wedding? Family? Architecture?

1st looks way way classier if a little cluttered and hard on the eye to me. I would prefer a Flickr Photostream style layout where landscape photos are given preference over portrait type.

    Some nice shots BTW.

Thanks for the comments. It's for an abstract photo site, with an aim to selling some photos. (yes I know it's v hard to sell online.)

I already have a photo site (http://www.photoblog.ie but want one exclusively for abstract. I know the URL doesn't matter much for seo but http://abstractabstract.com is easier to remember (and I like it. Site is a work in progress)

These two layouts are options from the same theme on themeforest site, Kalium is the theme. I like how it features work in homepage and it poryfolio/gallery you can add text under the photos to link to the photo in shop page. All photo in the two demos aren't mine btw.

Fullscreen looks great in desktop but doesn't work as well in mobile I think.

    Cheers,
    Pa

    Some nice shots BTW.

I think they're stock images from the theme... or else the OP has a huge range (both demos have totally different subjects).

As said above, if you shoot mostly landscape, that first theme may not look as well. Have you tested it out with a sample of your own images? The style could work for abstract images. Its very plain so the images should stand out well.

They are stock images. http:// abstract abstract.com is my site, you can see some of the images. It's still a work in progress, text, images and pages to be revamped. Personally (on desktop) I like the mix of landscape and portrait.
