Would like to add a radiator to my kitchen.

It's not tiled very long so don't really want to dig it up.

Can you add a radiator on by tapping in to one that is right at the other side off the wall?

you could just tap into the pipes the other side of the wall, but you could end up with two rads that barely heat.
How well it would work would depend on the pipe run to the existing rad.

In theory the pipe diameter of the run will reduce to match the designed heat demand so it should be reduced to 1/2" pipe when the heat demand drops below 5kw (from memory) to feed the final rad/rads and in that case it is unlikely there would be enough capacity to feed an additional rad.
