SW Inspector asking about someone who stayed with me in the past

Not sure what to make of this, but all opinions welcome as it is still preying on my mind...

I am a male in my 60's receiving JA. A SW inspector came to my house after I applied for Disability allowance, asking about a Chinese girl in her twenties who I met on the Couchsurfing site and who stayed at my house on and off (Mostly off) during a few months she was in Ireland over two years ago. This girl had a working holiday visa for Ireland but needed a proof of address for a PPS number, so I gave her a utility bill to show the office where she went to get her PPS number.

The inspector asked how long she had stayed at my house and if I had given her the utility bill. I told him the truth, explaining that I was not in a romantic relationship with this girl, nor did I receive any money from her for letting her stay, nor had I seen her for over two years. He wrote this all down on a sheet of paper, got me to sign it and said he would 'send it off.'

Should I have any reason to be worried about this...?

I'm no expert, but I don't think you've anything to worry about! :)

So anyone can live in my house as long as they are not paying me to stay?

I was only basing my (non expert) "don't worry" on the facts as you stated them and, in particular, the fact that it was 2 years ago when the girl stayed with you. I'd guess that they just had your address on file from her PPS application and wanted to double check that she wasn't still living with you.

Don't know what would happen if you moved someone else in now.
