    Hi
Looking to buy new TV in the new year as have a Samsung 3d that I am sick of Ghosting. Thing is are all of the new TV's no longer offering 3d? Was looking at the below
    http://www.did.ie/panasonic-50-premium-4k-smart-led-tv-tx-50dx802b-prd
does say its  3D TV but cannot see any info on it. Im not a fan of 3 d but built up a collection of 3d DVD and others in house like it.
I look at TV for the Sports, Films and HBO and Netflix films, series so something decent and around the €1k mark max as want to sell old TV and glasses

3D is pretty much on it's way out but you can still get some new tv's with it for now.

That Panasonic 802 does support it, see specs page below, it lists active 3d, maybe I'm wrong but I seem to remember ghosting was less an issue with passive 3d and the only ones who still do that are LG, their website lists tv's with 3d support.

    Cheers
Still undecided if I want new TV with 3d or not or just go for the 4k tv. I did see the below TV

However no glasses come with this so have to take that into account also
May just look at 4k tv and look for one with plenty of output options. Could not see any 3D tv in the well known shopes
Like to see the TV before purchasing and don't fancy a trip up to Belfast just yet

From an article 'How to buy a TV in 2016' on CNET dated Oct 5th 2016 .......

Once a futuristic add-on filled with promise -- remember "Avatar"? -- 3D TV is now basically dead. This year Samsung, the world's No. 1 TV brand, dropped 3D support entirely, joining Vizio and most TVs from other brands. Higher-end LG and Sony sets still offer it for fans who care, but that's it.

Ironically, that 2016 article provides a link to another, earlier (July 2013) article specifically about 3D in which the same writer boldly predicted .....

3D TV may be a flop in many ways, but there's no doubt it's here to stay as a feature on many higher-end TVs

OP buy a 4K TV. It'll be around longer than 3D.
