Pre-paid Maestro cards

    Hi folks,
    Just looking at this website: http://www.swirlcard.com/

    I have recently had monies wrongly taken from my Visa card while shopping on Amazon and Ebay. I got most of the money charged back to my a/c but there had been several other small amounts taken over the last year which are too long gone. It was only when they got greedy and took €1000+ that the bank got suspicious and notified me. My own carelessness I know!
    Can I register a pre-paid card on Amazon when there is no name on the card?
    Has anyone experience of using those cards, advice etc they can pass on?

    Also check Revolut card, big thread here you get a virtual credit card, I think also a plastic card.

    Strange issue you mention there about extra charges was that because account was hack or similar? I been buying from ebay, amazon for years on both and never had any issues like that, in Amazon the issue you might have that price display on the item page will change from actual paid price when delivering to Ireland as they will add Irish VAT.

    Hacked through Amazon? Only place I leave my card details up is Amazon as always presumed they are secure. If people are now discovering unauthorised use of their cards I may delete card details from the site.

    Not 100% sure, I also use Ebay (paypal).
