Polo jerking and lack of power

    hi my vw polo 97 100000 miles 1.0 is jerking and lack of power drive fine for a while but then starts jerking and lacking power new fuel pump 6 months ago anyone know whats wrong

    Just check the plugs first. A lot of Polos have long life plugs that are good for nearly 100k so they get forgotten. When they first start to go bad you can get the issues you are reporting for a little while before they go altogether.

    these spark plugs were changed about 25 thousand miles ago

    In that case I'd definitely check them.

    Just how difficult is it to take out the plugs and look at them?
