BIK on health insurance

    Hi,

    Just a quick question, which Im hoping someone can help me with.
    Does anyone know how to calculate the BIK on health insurance?

    My employer pays 100% for my health insurance policy which covers myself, husband and 2 children.

    By looking at my payslip, it looks like im paying over €5K per annum on BIK, on a health insurance policy which is only €3K...

    Surely this is wrong, but when I've questioned it with payroll, they said its correct???? :eek:

    Its only a partial explanation but when your employer pays for your policy you don't get TRS but can instead claim an additional tax credit so it would be higher but not by that much.
