    1. I am finding it frustrating getting clarity from Irish Water as to how I can proceed with a new connection. The Council and Irish Water are giving me conflicting information and not in a timely manner.

    If you would like to send your query by PM, with the following details, we will be more than happy to investigate for you:

    - Name;
    - Address;
    - Contact Number; and
    - Confirmation that you are the account holder.

    As soon as we receive these details, we will look into your query straight away.

    2.  I am installing a dishwasher and would like to know the hardness of the water in Dublin. I am annoyed that this information isn’t provided by Irish Water.

    Accessing the level of hardness in your water would be a private matter.

    If you would like to get your water tested, you can find a list of accredited testing facilities at www.inab.ie/Directory-of-Accredited-Bodies/Laboratory-Accreditation/Testing/

    3. My landlord has requested proof that I’ve paid all my water bills, in order to get my deposit back. How can I obtain this?

    We can certainly help provide proof of payment, if you can confirm the following details by PM:

    - Name;
    - Address;
    - Contact number; and
    - Confirmation that you are the named account holder.

    Once we receive these details, we can verify your account and check your balance.

    Alternatively, you can email us at customerservice@water.ie, where a member of our team will also be able to provide you with proof of payment via email.

    4. I need to settle an account for a deceased relative, how can I do this?

    We’re sorry to hear that and condolences on your loss.

    We can arrange a call back for you if you PM the following:

    - Your name;
    - The address of the property and;
    - Your contact number.

    We would need to confirm some details over the phone for data protection reasons. As soon as we receive these details, we will look into your query straight away.

    Alternatively, our billing lines are open from 9am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday.

    5. Can I still claim the Water Conservation Grant?

    Due to the suspension of domestic water charges in 2016, the Water Conservation Grant will also be suspended this year.

    Please feel free to get in touch again, should you have any future queries.
